Indian Royal Couple – Madhubani

Few days back I was so much allured by the Mughal Paintings and the sheer royalty shown in their arts. I am so fascinated that I’m planning to do one such painting in near future, but before I can do justice with the art form I never tried I wanted to draw an Indian Royal Couple in Madhubani style.

Dressed in silken finery, a man and woman pose for their wedding portrait. The bride wears an ornate nose ring and a flowing veil; the groom wears earrings and a tasseled hat.

I have worked in the traditional Madhubani style for this lovely memento, painted on white handmade paper and painted with acrylic paints.
